Poolside Bounty Update
Last week we headed back to Steiner Ranch to look in on the poolside cactus patch we converted to a vegetable, herb and flower garden a couple of weeks ago. The spring showers and good soil had done their trick. It even rained on us a little while we were there! The plants were looking great and all the seeds had sprouted.
The owner has even planted some bean seeds offered by a fellow gardener and those were up and looking good. We love it, just a few days with a garden and already he’s planting! That’s the way to do it! His son was making daily checks of the strawberry plant’s progress awaiting some sweet payoff for his patience.
Now that we are past the last freeze we planted heirloom tomato plants, peppers, summer squash, cucumbers, sunflowers, marigolds, spearmint, basil, zinnias, nasturtium and a few other lovelies. This garden is growing!
