Surrounded by Herbs and Veggies

Bohemian Bounty is happy to be a part of the movement of replacing decorative garden beds with decorative and function garden beds – vegetable gardens! In the yard pictured below we’ve converted 2 decorative planter beds to herbs, revitalized and replanted one vegetable container bed, converted another decorative planter to vegetables and added 4 in-ground plots for the family or four. That’s a pretty good start!

Thanks to REI and everyone who came to Organic Gardening 101

We had a great time at REI tonight giving our Organic Gardening 101 class. We pretty much filled the room after some quick rearranging by REI staff.

Thanks to everyone who attended and your great questions! We are going to post all the questions and answers on the website in case you missed it. Hope everyone enjoyed the goodies from the garden. Mmmmm Dilly beans!

Taking Fall Organic Garden Reservations

As we transition out of our short spring season and into the long Texas summer Bohemian Bounty is winding down this season’s garden installations. The heat will soon be upon us which is great for your peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, squash and okra.

At this point we’re closer to the harvesting than planting stage for many veggies so Bohemian Bounty is taking reservations for fall gardens. Many winter squash, pumpkins and leafy greens can’t be planted again until late summer. So, enjoy your summer harvest and get ready for our upcoming workshops in canning and food preservation. Jams, jellies, dried tomatoes, storing onions and garlic – we hope to cover it all.
